📋 Description

• Provide site-wide support for generating cost/price details for proposals, task plans, ROMs, and what-if exercises • Use GKN-approved pricing tools and apply GKN Garden Grove published rates and factors • Prepare proposals for government and prime contractor customers, including detailed pricing models and supporting documentation • Price Engineering Change Proposals, Requests for Equitable Adjustments, and modifications • Ensure adherence to FAR, DFARS, TINA, other government regulations, and solicitation instructions • Support compliance with Cost Accounting Standards and the company Disclosure Statement • Coach contributors on Basis of Estimate quality, data standards, and estimating best practices • Develop and maintain pricing volumes for competitive and sole-source proposals • Participate in customer negotiations as pricing lead, providing cost rationale and risk analysis • Support internal and external pricing and cost-compliance audits • Partner with Contracts, Capture/Business Development, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Legal • Evaluate competitiveness gaps and develop plans to improve offerings and establish market standards • Set strategic pricing based on competitiveness evaluations to maximize return on investment • Maintain a database benchmarking product and service offerings against current and potential competitors

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Engineering • 5–10 years of manufacturing environment work experience • Knowledge of proposal pricing, cost estimating, government contracting (FAR), project life cycles, and project milestones • Experience preparing technical proposals in a project environment • Experience with project reporting, contract administration, cost/schedule planning, cost analysis, and cost estimating • Knowledge of machining methods, production processes and techniques, materials, tools, drawing systems, technical manuals, and applicable military regulations • Strong analytical skills • Ability to independently interpret calculation outcomes and clearly convey insights to quotation teams and stakeholders • Ability to handle time constraints and tight timelines • Aerospace industry experience highly desirable • Understanding and experience with complex technical and commercial proposal requests from Aerospace OEMs • Ability to translate proposal requests into manageable work packages • Experience running projects involving multi-disciplinary teams under challenging time constraints • Knowledge of MS Office Suite
