📋 Description

• Provide English-to-German legal translation and/or editing services for a United States Government client • Deliver high-quality legal translation and editing work remotely • Handle ongoing, as-needed assignments • Work with legal, judicial, and technical terminology • Accept assignments during normal business hours as needed • Complete security clearance processing, including fingerprinting, if selected

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of three years of professional experience providing legal translation and/or editing services • Native-level French writing skills and advanced proficiency in written English • Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. legal, judicial, and technical terminology in English and German • Bachelor’s degree in a foreign language, linguistics, translation, or a comparable field • Experience using computer-assisted translation tools; Trados experience is preferred • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to meet deadlines • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Applicants must be U.S. citizens • Must be willing to complete security clearance processing, including fingerprinting, if selected • Generally available between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on most weekdays • Able to accept on-demand assignments totaling approximately 10 to 15 hours per week
