📋 Description

• Review life insurance applications for unanswered questions, hazardous occupations, medical history, and other factors requiring additional underwriting review • Evaluate medical and non-medical information, including MIB reports, MVRs, prescription histories, verification call results, oral test results, and previous coverage applications • Determine whether additional underwriting requirements are necessary based on company guidelines • Order appropriate underwriting requirements, including additional medical and non-medical information or an evaluation by an underwriter

🎯 Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent • A minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute • At least six months of experience in an Underwriting Department or four years of experience in a non-entry-level position (LG4 or higher) • Ability to operate standard office equipment and use software packages required by the department • Ability to understand and apply written and verbal instructions • Strong communication skills, including proper grammar, word usage, and punctuation • A score of 98% or higher on the Dean Vaughn Medical Terminology course
