📋 Description

• Report to the Senior Compliance Manager • Conduct legal and regulatory research and document findings • Perform risk analysis and support policy development • Research information from state regulatory sites and other databases • Assist with risk review programs across all business lines • Partner with Quality Control, Legal, and Business Units as needed • Document research and verification efforts • Document and report variances from company policies and procedures and help resolve issues • Recommend modifications and improvements to systems, procedures, and processes • Monitor emerging risks and regulatory compliance matters • Keep current on changes in laws and regulations affecting compliance • Assist the training department in developing and delivering compliance training programs • Assist with initiatives that enhance compliance awareness • Maintain compliance risk assessments • Track Business Unit corrective action plan completion and follow up when necessary • Develop, implement, and monitor programs ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations • Gather information, analyze data trends, identify root causes, and provide information to business or project teams • Perform other duties assigned by the Senior Compliance Manager • Comply with company policies and procedures • Work as an individual contributor

🎯 Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of regulatory requirements governing financial institutions • Exceptional research capabilities • Knowledge of the mortgage lending and servicing industry • Working knowledge of compliance issues • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office • Ability to perform comparative analysis and provide logical conclusions/recommendations • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field; relevant compliance work experience in lieu of a degree may be considered • Minimum 5 years of work experience in the mortgage industry • Minimum 3 years of work experience in compliance, quality control, or audit department of financial services • Knowledge of Federal Regulations including RESPA, TILA, CFPB, FCRA, ECOA, FDCPA, state laws, and investor/insurer guidelines (GSE, HUD, VA, USDA) • Ability to research and understand federal regulations • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and writing skills • Ability to work independently; project management skills are a plus • Strong organizational skills, ability to learn quickly, and accuracy and timeliness in completing tasks • High level of personal integrity and ability to professionally handle confidential matters • Ability to work cooperatively and maintain effective communication and working relationships • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently • None required for certificates, licenses, or registrations • Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance • Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds
