📋 Description
• Process and document Utilization Management requests, including prior authorization, step therapy, and formulary exceptions • Perform clinical evaluation and determinations of client UM requests • Consider denial language and the appropriateness of decisions against individual program criteria • Consult directly with health care providers regarding non-formulary and clinical product coverage issues • Collaborate with pharmacist team members to promote consistency of clinical decisions • Perform other duties as assigned
🎯 Requirements
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree • Current pharmacist license in good standing at local State Board of Pharmacy • Ability to make clinical decisions independently • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously • Motivated self-starter who can drive results without constant direction or feedback • Flexibility to evolve in a dynamic working environment • Proficient in learning new computer systems and using multiple monitors
