📋 Description

• Investigates, evaluates, and resolves liability claims of varying complexity and severity • Drafts coverage position letters with moderate supervision • Manages litigation and attends mediations, arbitrations, depositions, and trials as necessary • Sets reserves within prescribed authority and submits written recommendations for reserves outside authority • Applies excellent judgment in evaluating and handling claims • Conveys complex information to appropriate parties while maintaining a professional demeanor • Complies with company procedures and policies, statutes, regulations, and other legal requirements governing claims handling • Responds to inquiries from underwriters and producers • Maintains necessary adjuster licenses and completes required continuing education • Performs other duties as assigned • Manages a nationwide portfolio of commercial casualty claims, primarily product liability and premises liability files • Works with dedicated coverage counsel and technical claim resources

🎯 Requirements

• Generally, 8+ years of commercial casualty claims experience • Experience handling product liability and premises liability claims • Detailed coverage analysis experience • Detail oriented and strong organizational skills • Exceptional customer service skills • Strong written, verbal, and effective listening skills • Ability to build and maintain productive and collaborative relationships with coworkers • Significant experience working with Microsoft Office applications and electronic claim files • Must be open to travel, including overnight travel as needed • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience and/or training • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment visa sponsorship • Must maintain necessary adjuster licenses and complete required continuing education • CPCU designation or other advanced insurance credentials is a plus
