• Attend local community events and activities to build awareness of Girl Scouts and connect with families and volunteers • Serve as the initial point of contact for prospective volunteers and families • Participate in community outreach activities, including table events, parades, and school open houses • Generate leads and support membership growth across the council’s service areas • Organize and facilitate recruitment and program activities in the community • Collect and submit lead forms, attendance counts, and event feedback • Complete post-event follow-ups and reporting • Drive and safely operate the Girl Scout mobile-unit box truck • Transport, set up, tear down, and properly care for the box truck and event equipment • Represent the organization professionally and model behavior consistent with Girl Scouting’s mission • Communicate availability, scheduling preferences, and conflicts; respond to event invitations • Take on additional duties as assigned to meet recruitment-team needs
• High school diploma or equivalent OR a minimum of one year’s experience in membership recruitment, sales or related field • Associate degree preferred • Basic computer skills • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook • Customer-service oriented; ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner across diverse cultures, ages, abilities, genders, and ethnicities • Comfortable speaking in a public setting • Experience implementing events and activities for youth in diverse communities • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage time, prioritize multiple tasks, and work independently • Ability to drive a small box truck or be trained upon hire • Flexible availability, primarily evenings and weekends • Participation in a minimum of two assigned community events per month • Willingness to subscribe to Girl Scout philosophy and join as a Girl Scout member • Travel within the region and dependable transportation required • Valid driver’s license and use of own vehicle preferred; applicable automobile insurance and driving-record requirements apply • If unable to drive, an approved transportation plan must be submitted before an official offer • Ability to stand for long periods and operate office equipment manually • Ability to routinely lift 15 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 30 pounds • Full range of body motion, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination • Commitment to cultural competency growth and working within diverse teams
