📋 Description

• Architect, administer, and optimize enterprise SQL Server databases • Maintain enterprise SQL database operations, including SQL Server updates and patches • Maintain database security and compliance with company, industry, and government standards, including GDPR and HIPAA • Review, update, and optimize enterprise database architecture • Architect and implement new database systems • Monitor database performance and perform database tuning • Troubleshoot enterprise database servers and related systems • Support system audits and provide documentation • Plan testing and implementation of disaster recovery and backup processes • Create custom queries, data-driven SSRS subscriptions, and migration scripts • Collaborate with application owners and IT teams to support business operations • Provide technical guidance to users accessing enterprise data • Report to the Director of Network Systems

🎯 Requirements

• Strong understanding of SQL Server technology features and limitations • Advanced knowledge of SQL Server database structures, security, storage solutions, virtualization, replication, and clustering • Ability to create performance projections based upon hardware, OS, database design, query structures, and interactions between external systems and database servers • Ability to evaluate and recommend technological changes in the database environment • Proficiency in automation and scripting, such as PowerShell • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills • Ability to follow documented procedures and learn new technologies • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience • Minimum 8 to 10 years' experience in design, development, administration, and maintenance of enterprise-level MS SQL Server database systems • Experience configuring, operating, and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server in on-premises and cloud environments • Experience in database design, standards and processes, capacity planning, disaster recovery planning, accessibility, scalability, and SQL Server documentation • Experience developing complex queries, SSIS Packages, and SSRS reports
