📋 Description

• Perform scheduled diabetic eye exams and retinal screenings for members at provider practices and patient homes • Operate company-provided retinal imaging equipment • Support closure of eye exam and related quality gaps • Complete training on retinal imaging equipment and eye exam procedures before conducting exams independently • Maintain competency through ongoing training as needed • Manage a daily eye exam appointment schedule • Confirm appointments with practices and patients in advance • Coordinate travel logistics • Engage virtually with team members, internal partners, customers, providers, payers, and care teams on non-appointment days • Build and maintain working relationships with co-workers, customers, providers, payers, and care teams • Perform duties supporting quality improvement, reporting, patient outreach, and customer success

🎯 Requirements

• Willingness and ability to travel daily, up to 100%, to provider practices for scheduled eye exams • Must reside locally in the Birmingham, AL area • No prior eye exam or imaging experience required; full training and equipment provided • Valid driver's license • Reliable transportation • Associate degree or greater in a related field • Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in a healthcare setting • Knowledge of medical terminology, quality measures, medical billing, or coding • Proficiency using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, and multiple healthcare-related systems or applications • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Ability to meet hard deadlines • Ability to collaborate effectively with management, co-workers, customers, providers, payers, and care teams • Ability to work independently in a remote environment • Certified or licensed healthcare professional credential, such as CMA or LPN, desired
