📋 Description

• Perform accurate, high-quality coding of medical records using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines. • Ensure documented services are coded appropriately and obtain clarification when documentation is incomplete. • Maintain productivity, accuracy, and turnaround standards for assigned work queues and chart review. • Review and communicate coding corrections, re-bills, denials, and documentation issues in a timely manner. • Respond professionally to coding and billing questions from providers, facilities, and internal teams. • Maintain required credentials, follow organizational policies, and support HIPAA-compliant work practices. • Communicate coding issues, discrepancies, or barriers to leadership promptly and work collaboratively with quality and billing teams.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 3 years professional coding experience in neurology clinic coding. • Minimum 3 years coding experience in general and/or multi-specialty settings. • CPC certification from AAPC. • High school diploma. • EMR experience. • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively with clients and team members. • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. • Basic proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. • High level of accuracy and working knowledge of federal and state coding regulations and guidelines. • Must maintain required credentials throughout employment
