📋 Description

• Implement, monitor, and optimize cybersecurity systems and data pipelines under senior engineering leadership • Configure and support ingestion of security telemetry into SIEM platforms using agents, APIs, syslog, and native integrations • Implement parsing and field extraction using regex, JSON, and key-value methods • Normalize data into standardized schemas such as CIM, ECS, and UDM • Validate field completeness, consistency, and timestamp accuracy • Develop and tune SIEM detection rules and map detections to MITRE ATT&CK • Test and validate detection logic, identify coverage gaps, and reduce false positives • Support SIEM configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance optimization • Monitor data pipelines and identify ingestion or processing failures • Develop and maintain SOAR playbooks • Support SIEM, endpoint, and cloud platform integrations • Automate enrichment and response workflows • Troubleshoot playbook failures and integration issues • Participate in client interviews and technical discovery sessions • Document current-state architectures and workflows • Analyze SOC processes, detection coverage, and data architecture • Contribute to client findings, recommendations, and deliverables

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma + 5 years of experience or BS/BA + 2 years of experience • 2–5 years of experience in security operations, SIEM engineering, or related fields • Hands-on experience with at least one SIEM platform • Exposure to detection engineering or SOC workflows • Experience working with log data and security telemetry • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues across multiple systems • Effective written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work in a client-facing consulting environment • Strong documentation and organizational skills • Embraces emerging technologies, including AI tools • SIEM vendor certifications (Splunk, Google SecOps, Elastic, etc.), SOAR vendor certifications, and Observability vendor certifications
