📋 Description

• Develop, implement, and monitor adherence to data governance policies, standards, and procedures • Partner with business leaders, Product, Data & Technology teams, data stewards, owners, IT teams, and business stakeholders • Elicit metadata, certify data, and research internal systems of record and publicly available data sources • Identify, define, and maintain data definitions and metadata across business functions and data domains • Review and document data translation and transformation requirements for the data warehouse • Conduct data profiling, create and monitor data quality rules, perform root-cause analysis, and remediate data issues • Maintain the data catalog with lineage, definitions, source and destination systems, transformations, reports, steward and custodian information, versioning, and audit trails • Complete report certifications and validate dashboards and reports • Identify process improvements and automate manual data governance processes • Identify Personally Identifiable Information and define masking and special-handling rules • Assess accuracy of new data sources and effectiveness of data-gathering techniques • Design and develop custom Groovy workflows to automate data governance processes • Design and configure metadata models representing organizational data assets • Use or help implement Master Data Management tools • Develop training materials, use-case documentation, and implementation specifications • Define KPIs and document processes for monitoring data governance, cataloging performance, and data accuracy • Mentor less experienced data professionals and share templates, reusable artifacts, and domain knowledge • Participate in stakeholder reviews, design sessions, working groups, workshops, and training • Provide data, reports, and information to management • Track technology-related trends and errors and develop cross-functional solutions • Resolve high-level issues and contribute to Information Technology decisions • Monitor data catalog ingestion and triage lineage, ingestion, and performance issues • Manage communications and stakeholder partnerships with senior leaders, managers, and staff • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree directly related to the position or equivalent, required in Information Management, Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field • A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of the Bachelor’s degree • Master’s Degree directly related to the position or equivalent preferred • Minimum five years experience in data governance, data management, or related roles • Proven experience developing and implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures • Hands-on experience working with data stewards and owners • Proficiency in SQL, Snowflake, and Power BI • Experience querying and analyzing SQL relational and NoSQL databases, including Aurora DB, IBM DB2, MemSQL, MS SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres, and Snowflake • Knowledge of mortgage and privacy laws preferred • Experience with data governance tools such as Collibra • Strong knowledge of data management principles, data quality, data security, and regulatory requirements • Workflow development and/or business process diagramming • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, Wiki, collaborative cloud-based programs, and third-party software applications • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, presentation, project management, organizational, interpersonal, and team-building skills • Ability to work independently, collaborate cross-functionally, manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing requirements, and learn new technologies • Ability to work Monday–Friday during the business week • Ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards • Ability to accurately perceive, distinguish, and interpret visual and audio information • Ability to learn tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, and make timely workflow decisions • Commitment to company values
