📋 Description

• Answer clients’ tax-related questions primarily through chat and approved digital support tools • Help clients navigate H&R Block’s online tax preparation tools • Provide clear, supportive guidance for do-it-yourself tax clients • Research federal and state tax laws to provide accurate, current information • Use proprietary tools and resources to deliver client support • Collaborate with teammates to share insights, solve problems, and improve the client experience • Escalate complex tax situations to advanced support teams when appropriate • Manage multiple conversations, systems, and knowledge resources in a fast-paced virtual environment • Embrace new challenges and opportunities during tax season

🎯 Requirements

• Demonstrated tax knowledge through tax preparation experience, tax education, or tax support experience • Customer service experience in a professional environment • Successful completion of required H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessments • A quiet, dedicated workspace and a reliable internet connection • Ability to work from an approved secure remote work location meeting company security and privacy requirements • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong attention to detail and passion for accuracy • Strong research and problem-solving skills • Ability to navigate multiple applications and technology tools simultaneously • Ability to work independently in a virtual environment while remaining engaged with the team • Preferred: Experience preparing individual income tax returns • Preferred: Experience in contact center, chat support, or digital service environments • Preferred: Experience in a retail tax office, tax firm, financial services organization, or tax-related support role • Preferred: Enrolled Agent (EA), CPA, attorney, AFSP participant, or other tax credentials
