📋 Description

• Advise state and local governments and public and private utilities across all phases of the emergency management cycle • Provide hands-on support and guidance for operational emergency management • Guide storm restoration planning, transmission and distribution operations, mutual aid coordination, and utility-specific response structures • Manage reviews of technical requirements for regulatory reporting and ensure compliance with state and federal reporting standards • Assist with Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) plans and other proactive mitigation strategies • Help design, facilitate, and evaluate high-stakes exercises for operational staff and senior leadership • Translate operational lessons into action items and growth strategies

🎯 Requirements

• 5–10+ years of experience leading energy or critical infrastructure organizations and/or clients through large-scale disaster response • Demonstrated technical knowledge of electric operations, ideally transmission and distribution systems and storm restoration logistics • Proven experience with the national mutual aid process • Exceptional client-facing skills with the ability to influence and lead at a senior level • Active Master Exercise Practitioner (MEP) certification or advanced emergency management/exercise credentials preferred • Valid Employer Identification Number (EIN) required • Independent Contractors (1099) only
