📋 Description

• Provide remote and on-site applications support, technical support, and training to OEM customers • Act as a technical resource between Hamilton teams for technical questions, method development, and testing • Coordinate with the Automation Consulting Engineer to communicate and track changes in customer needs and additional requests • Develop and test application-specific protocols on Hamilton products based on OEM customer or Hamilton team requirements • Optimize or assist OEM customers in optimizing liquid handling performance • Document developed applications within scripts and in OEM customer-facing documentation when necessary • Troubleshoot, test, and create programming tools for OEM customer needs • Travel to OEM customer sites to provide or maintain application development support • Provide support materials and platform-specific or application-specific training to help OEM development teams become self-sufficient • Maintain effective communication on progress and findings • Consult the OEM Applications/Automation Engineering team, management, OEM ACEs, and/or Project Management as needed • Work closely with Project Management and R&D on application-related tasks and issues • Evaluate project details and provide reasonably accurate effort and timeline estimates • Maintain professional relationships with co-workers and customers • Report to the OEM Automation Engineering Manager

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or computer science is required • Good verbal and written communication skills • Ability to understand and apply programming and liquid handling principles • Technical troubleshooting capability and ability to work hands-on with equipment • Ability to speak and present to an audience and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical persons • Good planning and customer relationship skills • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products • Ability to travel nationally and occasionally internationally, up to 25% • Experience with programming languages and computer knowledge desired • Experience with laboratory automation, scientific application, and/or laboratory bench sciences preferred • Experience training and troubleshooting in a technical environment preferred
