📋 Description

• Oversee all engineering activities related to land preparation for data center construction, ensuring land suitability and regulatory compliance • Coordinate contracted companies installing and integrating solar energy systems, water supply, and fiber optics, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery • Manage multiple projects, including project plans, timelines, budgets, and progress monitoring • Collaborate with internal teams, external contractors, and stakeholders to resolve engineering challenges • Ensure engineering work complies with local, state, and federal regulations and maintain quality and safety standards • Provide technical guidance and support to engineering teams and other departments • Negotiate and secure long-term water sourcing and supply agreements with municipalities, utilities, and private providers • Assess water rights, capacity availability, and infrastructure requirements for reliable, scalable data center supply • Conduct due diligence on prospective land acquisitions and development sites, evaluating zoning, environmental constraints, geotechnical conditions, utility access, and permitting requirements • Prepare detailed reports and recommendations on site feasibility and risks • Travel up to 50% of the time • Perform other job-related duties as requested by management

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field) • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in engineering roles • At least 3 years of experience in a leadership position • Proven experience in land development and utility coordination for large-scale projects • Strong knowledge of renewable energy systems, particularly solar energy • Experience with data center infrastructure and utility requirements • Strong project management skills and a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred • Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) preferred
