📋 Description

• Rotate through and support the Underwriting, Loss Control, and Claims teams during summer 2027 • Support underwriting of new business files, policy changes, and review of supplemental information • Receive hands-on training in underwriting appetite, target classes, processes, systems, and insurance knowledge • Attend agency visits with the Business Development Specialist • Participate in underwriting team meetings, including Large Loss review, Large Account Renewal, and weekly business unit sync-ups • Conduct Loss Control survey ride-alongs • Assist with loss control data reporting and analytics • Research tools, technology, or process improvements to help prevent portfolio-level losses • Support Claims Operations with First Notices of Loss, low-complexity first-party claims, policy and damage-documentation reviews, claim file research, and operational/system processes • Gain exposure to claim handling workflows, customer service, coverage analysis, and claim documentation standards • Conduct loss trend analysis and operational research • Develop insights and recommendations supporting loss mitigation, liability and coverage evaluations, recovery opportunities, and strategic initiatives

🎯 Requirements

• Must be a full-time undergraduate student • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university • Pursuing a degree in Risk & Insurance Management, Occupational Safety, EHS, Business or related field • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills • Resourceful/problem solving skills • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines • High energy, self-motivated, and proactive • Strong collaborating skills • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
