📋 Description

• Assist the HarmonyCares Medical Group physician in delivering primary healthcare and patient care management in residential settings • Identify the best methods for retrieving blood samples and other specimens and perform screening procedures • Verify test requisitions against clinician orders and report discrepancies to Leadership • Verify patient identification and explain sampling procedures • Obtain blood specimens through venipunctures and finger sticks • Maintain specimen integrity using aseptic technique and following isolation procedures • Track collected specimens by initialing, dating, recording collection times, and maintaining daily tallies • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment in compliance with standards, procedures, and legal regulations • Take vital signs as needed • Label, store, and package specimens for laboratory delivery • Log patient information and specimen data in compliance with CLIA standards • Perform clinical duties while observing OSHA and HIPAA requirements • Prepare and maintain treatment supplies and equipment, including supply inventory, medical bag, and car • Facilitate required consent form signatures • Attend required meetings and in-services • Collaborate with primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, clinical teams, patients, and patient families

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma • Phlebotomist Certification • CPR Certification • Valid and unencumbered driver's license with good driving record • Ability to drive up to 150 miles daily in urban and/or rural setting • Full range body motion including handling/lifting patients • Ability to lift/carry items weighing up to 50 lbs • Ability to read and understand road maps • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time • Adept at venipuncture, phlebotomy and finger sticks • Excellent verbal and written communication and documentation skills • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) • Experienced in appropriate IT technology such as IPad and GPS • Interpersonal skills and compassion • Ability to work independently, analyze information, think critically and problem solve • Attention to detail • Procedural and organizational skills • Six months of experience in patient care, preferably geriatric care
