• Prepare and assist with sales and use tax returns, ensuring timely and accurate filings • Process and track tax payments across jurisdictions • Reconcile sales tax accounts and resolve discrepancies • Maintain documentation to support filings and audits • Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations (cash, accruals, tax accounts, etc.) • Investigate variances and ensure timely resolution of reconciling items • Support period-end close processes and ensure adherence to deadlines • Assist in maintaining strong internal controls and audit readiness • Coordinate and prepare property tax and franchise tax filings • Track filing deadlines and ensure compliance across jurisdictions • Assist in the preparation of support schedules and documentation for corporate income tax returns (prepared by third-party advisors) • Manage and track business license renewals across jurisdictions • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and automate processes • Assist in preparing ad hoc financial reports and analysis for management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field • 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience (public accounting or corporate environment preferred) • Exposure to multi-state or cross-border environments (US/Canada) is a plus • Strong understanding of accounting principles (US GAAP preferred) • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, D365, etc.) preferred • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, basic formulas) • Familiarity with tax compliance tools or software is a plus • High attention to detail and accuracy • Strong organizational and time management skills • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities • Effective communication skills with both internal teams and external advisors • Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
