📋 Description

• Promote and enable a data-driven culture within Healthfirst Operations • Identify opportunities to use technology and analytics to improve efficiency • Generate analytical insights that facilitate department leadership decisions • Develop repeatable analytics for department and executive leadership • Develop preventative and detective controls for business-process timeliness, accuracy, and completeness • Contribute to data model and dashboard design and architecture • Identify downstream impacts of changes to analyses, models, and algorithms • Assist with complex algorithms and statistical predictive models using large datasets • Determine analytical approaches and modeling techniques for scenarios and future outcomes • Make recommendations and decisions from data inference • Develop repeatable ETL processes from source systems to an analytics sandbox • Perform statistical analysis to quantify model limitations • Develop and improve department-performance metrics • Define methodologies with business stakeholders and present results and deliverables • Analyze and reconcile premium revenue and remittance status across product lines • Support and report accounts-receivable sub-ledger aging and collections • Create detailed documentation reports supporting department processes • Solve strategic and high-risk business problems by investigating issues, detecting patterns, and recommending solutions • Communicate knowledge and insights from big-data analysis • Transfer knowledge and concepts to system implementation teams • Partner with IT and business teams to solve problems, develop algorithms and models, and identify trends and opportunities • Inform, influence, support, and execute business and product decisions • Perform additional duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience • Proficiency of scripting and programming skills • Experience using MS Office suite, including Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word • Expertise in data analysis and query tools such as SQL • Experience with Alteryx, Tableau, Amazon Redshift, or similar tools/platforms • Experience with applied statistics, including distributions, statistical testing, and regression • Ability to successfully run queries from a data warehouse • Expertise innovating and implementing audit techniques • Preferred: Master’s degree from an accredited institution • Preferred: Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Sciences, Engineering, Business Analytics, Informatics, or similar concentration • Preferred: Experience with Python and R • Preferred: Experience with AWS and analytical solutions such as Redshift, Glue, and SageMaker • Preferred: Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau • Preferred: Familiarity with JavaScript and D3.js • Preferred: Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, MapReduce, and AWS Kinesis • Experience developing innovative solutions to complex problems • Advanced problem-solving skills and ability to make critical, independent decisions • Excellent communication skills • Excellent time management and ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines • Experience communicating technical information to technical and non-technical staff • Experience prioritizing a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment • Knowledge of machine learning algorithms, statistical methods, and optimization • Knowledge of the health care industry, products, systems, and business strategies
