📋 Description

• Assist with the editorial workflow of manuscript submissions • Perform initial quality checks using a checklist • Follow up by email or telephone with authors, Associate Editors, and reviewers regarding overdue tasks or assignments • Assist authors with uploading manuscripts and responding to manuscript-review queries • Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence relating to manuscript review • Ensure signed conflict-of-interest forms are received for all submissions • Assist with special projects, unique manuscript types, and special reports • Manage online journal web-page content and some social networking • Assist with preparation for editorial meetings, editorial board meetings, Zoom/conference calls, video interviews, and other editors' meetings • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience working with peer-reviewed scientific journals • Bachelor's Degree preferred • Experience working in a non-profit or medical society is a plus • Proficiency with Editorial Manager or a similar manuscript/peer-review workflow management system is a plus • No certificates, licenses, or registrations required • No other requirements specified
