• Independently conduct field assessments, audits and surveys. • Develop maintenance and modernization specifications tailored to client needs. • Analyze and interpret submittals, shop drawings and performance data. • Produce accurate VHT-specific construction drawings. • Confidently interpret construction drawings with minimal oversight. • Develop new elevator design solutions, coordinate with architects/MEP engineers, and integrate requirements into project documentation • Conduct traffic analyses using Elevate or equivalent software, interpret results and prepare recommendations. • Serve as primary point of contact for clients on assigned projects. • Lead client meetings independently. • Deliver solutions-focused communication and tailored technical recommendations. • Write and refine reports, narratives, and proposals. • Prepares basic specification and design documentation. • Mark up / comment on contractor submittals, drawings, and data for compliance and functionality. • Participate in QA/QC reviews and contribute to project coordination meetings. • Coordinate effectively with design disciplines to ensure integration. • Review work less experienced consultants and contribute to quality control. • Actively participate in design reviews and internal sessions. • Review and refine new design deliverables to ensure alignment with codes and client requirements. • Maintain timely documentation using internal systems and tools (ClickUp, Bluebeam, Procore). • Contribute to RFP responses and participate in client pitches. • Cultivate new opportunities through professional networks. • Assist with project scoping and resource planning at the discipline level. • Highlight and communicate new design capabilities in client pursuits.
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management preferred. • 3 - 5 years of experience in the elevator/escalator industry (OEM, maintenance, modernization) with degree, or 7 or more years of experience in the elevator/escalator industry without a related bachelor’s degree. • Strong working knowledge of ASME A17.1, A17.2, NFPA 70, and IBC • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specs, and construction documents • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Bluebeam, and project platforms like ClickUp and Procore • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Experience writing or reviewing specifications • OSHA 10/30 or other site safety credentials • Must demonstrate proficiency in all core competencies as described and characterized in this job description.
