📋 Description

• Design and implement algorithms and systems for framing and structural analysis, from prototypes through a shippable MVP • Use AI-assisted workflows to build quickly while maintaining correctness, maintainability, and expected behavior • Partner with product, customer success, and engineering teams to define behavior, identify gaps, and support customers • Translate framing and structural engineering knowledge into robust software • Write tests covering complex corner cases • Help shape the technical direction of a new team • Mentor others as the team grows • Navigate changing scope and priorities on an emerging team • Potentially grow into a tech lead role

🎯 Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in TypeScript • Structural or mechanical engineering experience, whether academic or professional • Familiarity with computational geometry and mathematical modeling • Professional fluency with modern development tools, including AI-assisted workflows • Ownership of the correctness and maintainability of produced code • Comfort operating in ambiguity on a new and emerging team • Ability to communicate tradeoffs, delivery timelines, and decisions clearly • Experience building framing, structural analysis, or CAD/CAM tooling is a major plus • Background moving between engineering stacks; C# or Python experience and willingness to learn TypeScript and React are advantageous • Genuine interest in homebuilding, construction, or home design is a plus
