• Plan and deliver speech/language therapy to a caseload of students between Hope Learning Academy, Hope Therapeutic Day Academy, and Hope Vocational Academy in Springfield, IL • Serve as an active member of students’ Individualized Education Plan (IEP) teams • Plan and implement speech/language IEP goals • Assist and encourage teachers and staff members to incorporate and promote functional communication throughout daily activities • Provide continuous, consistent services among all programs • Conduct speech/language therapy sessions in or out of the classroom, individually or in groups, as outlined in students’ IEPs • Write and implement IEP present levels and goal recommendations; present information clearly and effectively in IEP meetings • Ensure compliance with all IEP service minutes related to speech/language therapy • Order, create, and maintain Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices and resources • Train teachers and staff on proper use of AAC devices in educational and residential settings • Design and create visuals and other assistive items and devices • Conduct formal and informal speech/language evaluations as determined necessary by the IEP team
• Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology • American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence or applicant in their Clinical Fellowship Year • Illinois Speech Language Pathologist State License upon hire • Illinois Professional Educator’s License with a Speech Language Pathology endorsement
