📋 Description

• Conduct data collection and analyses to support process improvement programs and projects to reduce cost and complexity across the enterprise • Lead initiatives of varying complexity and scope within business divisions and across functional enterprise efforts • Draft and review project deliverables and analyses such as value-stream mapping and statistical analyses • Supervise business process analysts in the project team environment • Develop business cases using ROI models aligned with strategic corporate goals • Serve as a strategic consultant and business partner to business leadership • Interact with subject matter experts to develop solutions that improve process performance, productivity, efficiency, process demand management, and customer experience • Plan and participate in BPI organization-building activities and promote the BPI brand • Mentor business staff pursuing Green Lean and Green Belt certifications • Execute complex process improvement initiatives affecting multiple functions or businesses • Support division leaders and staff as a dedicated process improvement resource • Influence senior leaders and communicate results to senior business leaders and division teams without direct authority • Lead project teams and act as a change agent/coach to instill and sustain changes • Assess change readiness and prepare stakeholder change plans • Direct analyses of process improvement analysts and drive high-quality results • Use Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies aligned with business objectives • Manage multiple complex projects, program risks, issues, project performance, deliverables, and completion timelines • Develop practical solutions for complex business and enterprise problems • Coach, mentor, and assist Lean, Green Belt, and Black Belt candidates toward certification • Develop leadership presentation content and deploy common solutions across divisions and businesses • Identify new project opportunities and prioritize process improvement opportunities • Develop and share best practices among process improvement coaches and customers • Partner with Finance and Business to develop and track project metrics • Develop control plans, monitor key metrics, and deliver operational improvement and financial benefits • Occasional travel may be required to alternate Horizon sites

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED required • Bachelor degree preferred or relevant experience in lieu of degree • Requires a minimum of 8 years business process improvement or process redesign experience • Healthcare background highly preferred • Qualified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from an industry recognized leader (e.g. American Society for Quality) • Master black Belt Preferred • Healthcare industry experience preferred • Experience in a multi-divisional corporate environment desired • Strong knowledge of change management principles and strategies as applied to people and process • Proven project management and process improvement skills including strong knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies • Strong proficiency with Minitab and/or other statistical software • Must be proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) • Ability to lead the work of others in large cross divisional teams • Excellent verbal/ written communication skills required for executive level updates • Excellent presentation/facilitation skills • Demonstrated ability to create strong working relationships with others • Ability to gather, synthesize and analyze data and draw logical conclusions • Strong project management experience • Well organized and results-driven individual • Horizon BCBSNJ employees must live in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut or Delaware
