📋 Description

• Provide diagnosis, treatment, consultation, and comprehensive patient care in inpatient and outpatient settings • Maintain and promote patient health; conduct physicals, order tests, and prescribe medications as appropriate • Provide patient education on preventative care and prescribed treatments • Coordinate timely care for defined patient populations under physician supervision • Coordinate care between healthcare providers and participate in interprofessional rounds • Conduct health assessments, develop care plans, initiate interventions, and evaluate outcomes • Perform invasive, diagnostic, or therapeutic procedures based on licensure and credentialed privileges • Lead quality, safety, outcome-improvement, protocol, and patient-safety activities • Collaborate with interprofessional teams to manage patient care and resolve clinical and ethical concerns • Serve as clinical resource, patient advocate, preceptor, consultant, and coach for colleagues and trainees • Integrate current research into practice and participate in research, presentations, publications, and evidence-based activities • Support financial targets through timely documentation, reduced length of stay, and optimized efficiency • Complete and update the My Development Plan and participate in career discussions

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher from an accredited school of Nursing • Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioners program • Two years of registered nurse, advanced practice, or nurse practitioner clinical experience • RN - Registered Nurse - Texas State Licensure; must obtain permanent Texas license within 60 days if establishing Texas residency • APRN Non-Acute Care state license • Non-Acute Care ANCC recognized certification • BLS - Basic Life Support or Instructor (AHA) - American Heart Association • AP - Prescriptive Authority - Texas Board of Nursing - Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation • DEA - Narcotics License within 6 months • English speaking, reading, and writing proficiency • Skills in assessment, clinical practice, documentation, leadership, analysis, organization, problem-solving, time management, critical thinking, and clinical judgment • Ability to work autonomously as defined by the Nurse Practice Act • Ability to travel within the Houston Metropolitan area as required
