📋 Description

• Provide expert forensic nursing consultation via telehealth during acute sexual assault and intimate partner violence examinations • Mentor and support SANEs in real time across adult and pediatric cases • Provide 48 hours of overnight call per month, including 24 weekend hours, through self-scheduling • Complete 60+ hours of virtual and in-person new-hire orientation • Travel to State College, Pennsylvania for a required three-day in-person training during the first year • Attend virtual monthly team meetings • Complete quality assurance documentation and post-consultation surveys • Participate in individualized teleSANE consultation reviews • Attend continuing education and training updates • Maintain current knowledge of state guidelines, national standards, and evidence-based forensic nursing practices • Actively receive cases and provide mentorship during scheduled call time

🎯 Requirements

• Active, unencumbered nurse licensure (RN or higher) in good standing • Actively practicing as a Sexual Assault Nurse/Forensic Examiner (SANE/SAFE) • Minimum of 30 acute sexual assault forensic examinations conducted independently per year for the past 3 years • At least 15 independently conducted pediatric examinations annually • SANE-A and/or SANE-P certification from the Commission for Forensic Nursing Certification (CFNC) • Obtain nursing compact licensure and/or applicable state licensure(s) upon hire • Reliable, secure high-speed Wi-Fi • Private, quiet, confidential home or office space free of interruption • Willingness to remain in the role for two or more years • PA State Police Criminal Background Check • PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form • Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check
