📋 Description

• Develop strategy and provide ongoing oversight and monitoring of business areas involved with MHPAEA compliance and other enterprise compliance needs • Complete risk assessments and create annual work plans to audit and monitor operational performance • Understand operational processes and identify risk mitigation opportunities • Interpret and define regulatory and contractual requirements for implementation by internal business areas and external business partners • Communicate with and present to outside regulators • Oversee and perform auditing and monitoring of business areas involved with MHPAEA compliance and Wellness business • Report top risks, remediation plans, and other information to RC leadership • Oversee submission of reports, filings, and attestations to state and federal regulators • Document issues and opportunities in Enterprise Solution Point (ESP/Archer) • Work across Humana Business Operations to enhance data analytics and operational improvement efforts • Perform assessments, develop action plans, and provide guidance to business areas • Influence enterprise and department strategy • Report to a Director of Compliance as an individual contributor

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree • 7 or more years of legal or compliance experience • 2 or more years of project leadership experience • Ability to make decisions on moderately and substantially complex issues without direction • In-depth and broad knowledge of complex regulatory requirements • Ability to make recommendations to Medicaid market leadership • Ability to determine objectives and approaches to assignments with considerable latitude • MBA and/or JD preferred • Knowledge of healthcare operations and healthcare audits preferred • Knowledge/understanding of MHPAEA and other Mental Health Parity regulations preferred • Knowledge/understanding of healthcare laws and regulations preferred • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and lead individuals in large-scale, highly visible projects preferred • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and influence business partners and leadership preferred • Minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps for home internet • Dedicated workspace without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information
