📋 Description

• Lead research, evaluation, and development of opportunities that optimize healthcare delivery, lower medical costs, and improve member health outcomes • Research, prototype, and scale new ideas to improve population health and healthcare delivery • Collaborate with analytic and business teams to set objectives, approaches, and work plans • Evaluate existing programs and identify and measure new solutions to impact healthcare • Apply descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics methods to transform high volumes of complex data into actionable insights • Collaborate with clinicians and clinical informaticists to define clinical concepts and extract clinical information from medical, pharmacy, and lab claims • Translate analytic results into key takeaways and recommendations for business partners • Translate organizational strategy into work priorities • Make decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations with general guidance • Partner with enterprise stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and measure the impact of healthcare solutions

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree • Demonstrated strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills • Demonstrated strong interest in healthcare and desire to make a positive impact on population health • Flexible, dynamic personality who can work independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team • 1-3 years of experience in applying mathematics, statistics, epidemiologic or econometric principals to transform high volumes of complex data into actionable insights • Clear and concise oral and written communication skills, with a proven ability to translate complex methodologies and analytical results to higher-level business insights and key takeaways • Proficient in manipulating and analyzing data with at least one programming language such as Python or R • Self-provided internet service with at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speed • Ability to work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information • Preferred: Master's Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Economics, Statistics, Clinical Informatics, Mathematics, Data Science, Data Analysis and/or related fields • Preferred: Healthcare or managed care working experience • Preferred: Experience working with medical, pharmacy, and lab claims • Preferred: Experience working with big data and PySpark, Spark R, or Spark Scala • Preferred: Experience with causal inference, causal machine learning, deep learning, NLP, recommender systems, network analysis, or other advanced machine learning algorithms • Preferred: Familiarity with clinical concepts related to broad clinical conditions and disease states • Preferred: Deep understanding of healthcare payer economics and related healthcare areas
