📋 Description

• Manage and review federal, state, and local permitting and NEPA compliance for mining and energy projects • Serve as a primary point of contact with government and private-sector clients • Serve as permitting and NEPA compliance project manager on large, complex mining projects • Plan and complete project tasks for accurate, timely, and high-quality NEPA and permitting products and services • Interface with agencies and clients and build and maintain relationships • Identify and develop new opportunities, prepare proposals, and expand client relationships • Lead multidisciplinary teams preparing NEPA documents, conducting research, and preparing technical deliverables • Lead project teams to meet client schedule, quality, and budget expectations • Lead, manage, inspire, and mentor staff • Manage other energy and infrastructure projects as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in physical science, natural science, policy, economics, environmental science, or related disciplines • 6+ years of experience with national/state/local-level environmental reviews, mine permitting, or NEPA project management • Master’s degree in physical science, natural science, policy, economics, environmental science preferred • 4+ years of experience managing/preparing NEPA documents or environmental permitting • Recent working experience with Bureau of Land Management and/or U.S. Forest Service regulations and policies • Experience obtaining environmental permits • Experience reviewing technical studies addressing biological resources, cultural resources, air quality, noise, and hydrology • Experience managing pre-NEPA work, including surveys and data collection • Experience developing and maintaining project schedules and budgets • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Project, and MS Teams • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Strong critical thinking skills • Ability to prioritize and multitask under strict deadlines
