📋 Description

• Design, develop, and deliver engaging in-person and virtual training materials for CDBG-DR grantees and stakeholders • Cover housing, infrastructure, mitigation, program implementation, compliance, and federal grant requirement topics • Facilitate learning sessions using interactive activities, group discussions, case studies, and role-playing exercises • Deliver group and individual instructional trainings under the direction of a project manager • Contribute to product development projects as a subject-matter expert, author, researcher, or developer • Provide content expertise on HUD disaster recovery programs during training delivery and product development • Customize content for specific audiences based on their needs and learning capacity • Deliver trainings on policies and procedures, national objectives, procurement, federal funding coordination, labor standards, citizen participation, and compliance • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and regulatory compliance of developed materials • Support technical assistance engagements related to housing and community development, federal funding requirements, resilience, and hazard mitigation • Provide direct guidance to grantees through varied learning environments

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Learning and Development, Organizational Management, Education, Public Policy, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Urban Planning, Public Administration, or another relevant field • Minimum 8 years of experience working directly with CDBG-DR programs, HUD programs, or other relevant affordable housing programs • Minimum 2 years of experience utilizing various training platforms to conduct in-person and virtual trainings and design and deliver training and technical assistance services • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills in virtual and face-to-face classroom delivery • Demonstrated knowledge of how housing, community and economic development, and disaster recovery programs are implemented at state and/or local levels • Willingness to travel occasionally • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills • Ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders • Ability to manage multiple priorities, prioritize, multitask, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment • Ability to work with internal staff, outside clients, and consultants • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams • Ability to coordinate with others and work independently • Superior attention to detail • Candidates located in Mountain or Pacific Time Zones, or willing to work after traditional Eastern Time Zone hours, preferred • Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred • Experience with multifamily developers, housing authorities, or affordable housing developers preferred • Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design preferred
