📋 Description

• Coordinate, develop, and execute client/sponsor contracts and change orders for newly awarded and ongoing projects, primarily change orders associated with early phase studies • Work simultaneously on numerous Early Phase contracts and/or change orders • Interact with ICON Legal, the Sales Team, and Contracts Managers to determine appropriate contract terms and conditions • Develop understanding of ICON costing tools, client budget grids, tools, and templates • Understand operational department tasks, roles, and cost drivers within ICON • Solicit input and review of contracts and change orders from relevant operational departments • Develop cash-neutral payment schedules as required • Identify when client questions/comments require review by Legal, operations, senior management, or the client • Provide project/financial analysis on project budgets to justify supporting information before client submission • Update Salesforce with concise, accurate contract or change-order status information • Develop and maintain client/project files and tracking tools • Review client/project documents and budgets before submission for final quality-control review • Build relationships with ICON project teams, sales, proposals, finance, project analysis, and clients • Lead or assist with internal meetings related to contracts and change orders

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Legal Studies, or a related field • 2+ years of experience in sponsor contract management and financial analysis, in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or CRO industry • Experience working on Early Phase study budgets (preferred) • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess financial and contractual implications • Understanding of contract fundamentals, legal terminology, and commercial agreement structures • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly with Word & Excel • Familiarity with project budgeting, pricing models, and change order management (preferred) • Experience negotiating commercial or contractual terms with clients (preferred) • Legal right to work in the United States
