📋 Description

• Own and execute end-to-end strategic sourcing initiatives across indirect spend categories, with a strong focus on technology and software procurement. • Independently lead complex, multi-step RFP processes for contracts exceeding $250K. • Develop and implement sourcing strategies that support business goals, optimize value, and manage supplier-related risk. • Negotiate pricing, contract terms, service levels, and commercial structures to improve cost efficiency and overall business outcomes. • Build sourcing leverage through supplier competition, benchmarking, market analysis, and strategic negotiation approaches. • Partner cross-functionally with stakeholders across IT, Legal, Finance, and other business areas to align sourcing strategies and support successful project execution. • Manage supplier relationships, including supplier performance, risk mitigation efforts, and continuous improvement initiatives. • Translate business requirements into clear scopes of work, sourcing plans, and procurement strategies. • Perform total cost of ownership analysis to identify long-term value opportunities, hidden costs, and operational efficiencies. • Manage a pipeline of sourcing initiatives while balancing multiple priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. • Contribute to a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, accountability, and strategic business partnership.

🎯 Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in indirect procurement and strategic sourcing with ownership of supplier portfolios (required) • Proven experience independently leading end-to-end RFP processes for contracts valued at $250K or greater (required) • 1–2+ years of experience sourcing technology and software categories, including SaaS, subscriptions, licensing agreements, or related IT spend (required) • Strong contract knowledge and experience negotiating complex commercial agreements that deliver measurable business value (required) • Experience applying structured, multi-step sourcing methodologies such as Kearney or similar strategic sourcing frameworks (required) • Advanced negotiation skills and experience creating leverage strategies that drive favorable sourcing outcomes (required) • Strong business acumen and are comfortable influencing stakeholders across IT, Legal, Finance, and other functions without direct authority (required) • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trusted advisor relationships across the organization (required) • Strong project management and organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and reprioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment (required) • Approach sourcing decisions with a strategic mindset focused on cost optimization, timing, supplier risk, and long-term value creation (required) • Agile, adaptable, and solutions-oriented with a proactive and ownership-driven approach to problem solving (required) • Demonstrated success leading complex sourcing initiatives, driving cost savings, and improving supplier performance (required) • Comfortable working standard East Coast business hours in support of cross-functional stakeholder collaboration (required)
