📋 Description

• Build and maintain client relationships by gathering project requirements and communicating technical information • Support consulting project execution, including planning, budgeting, and scheduling • Document design decisions, client instructions, and project design progress • Analyze low- to moderate-complexity engineering tasks and collaborate with senior engineers and consultants on practical solutions • Participate in IMEG quality control processes • Stay current with medical equipment industry trends, technologies, and best practices • Contribute to research, development, and innovation efforts • Collaborate with engineers, architects, project managers, clinicians, and multidisciplinary teams • Conduct equipment assessments and inventories, evaluate equipment for reuse, and document equipment in the MEQ database • Lead MEQ user meetings to finalize equipment lists and placement drawings, obtain user sign-off, and provide updated lists and cost estimates • Obtain owner acceptance for final submittals and create cost estimates, MEQ books, project memos, narratives, and letters • Develop procurement schedules and write MEQ specifications for bid comparison • Recommend equipment options to support purchasing decisions • Support healthcare clients by aligning medical equipment planning with facility design needs • Integrate utility requirements and spatial needs for medical equipment into design processes • Support connected care and clinical workflows with IMEG’s Healthcare Information Technology group • Work on healthcare environments from community hospitals and clinics to academic medical centers and specialized treatment facilities

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Clinical Engineering, Bio-Medical Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Plumbing Engineering, or equivalent required • Minimum 4+ years of experience in the building design or medical equipment consulting industry • Knowledge of hospital/clinic department functions • Developing proficiency in design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in producing technical plans and specifications • Strong technical and analytical skills, including knowledge of principles relating to Medical Equipment • Knowledge of industry-standard medical equipment software and tools including 4Tower, Attainia, and Bluebeam • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges • Developing proficiency in Building Information Modeling software • Ability to communicate clearly in oral and written communication to individuals or groups • Proficient with MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook • Ability to travel up to 30% with overnight stays • This position is not eligible for sponsorship
