📋 Description

• Schedule and pre-register patients for appointments, outpatient visits, procedures, and other department appointments • Complete administrative work associated with scheduling appointments • Transcribe external physician orders • Handle high call volumes for multiple locations and departments • Utilize multiple systems to perform scheduling functions • Provide patients with preparation and location information • Collect and enter patient data accurately • Validate patient insurance and explain benefits as needed • Answer, transfer, and conference multiple phone calls between parties • Mentor new hires as needed • Promote Intermountain Health’s mission, vision, and values and follow service behavior standards • Perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent OR 4 years of revenue cycle experience • Minimum of 2 years of revenue cycle experience and/or 2 years of contact center experience • Excellent computer skills and ability to self-resolve technical issues with minimal assistance • Basic medical insurance knowledge • Intermediate computer operating knowledge • Multi-channel phone experience • 30+ WPM typing speed • Active listening • Reading comprehension • Critical thinking • Active learning • Complex problem solving • Ability to handle high call volumes • Ability to communicate and understand spoken information quickly and accurately • Must reside outside California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, Vermont, and Washington • Video interview through Microsoft Teams required; potential onsite interviews and meetings • Ability to work remotely while meeting confidentiality, information security, schedule, conflict-of-interest, and equipment-use expectations
