📋 Description

• Assess and provide care in an integrated setting with primary care, behavioral and mental health, and alternative care providers • Medically evaluate patients and assess their medical status • Diagnose patients' mental status through mental assessment and physical examination • Determine, establish, and administer treatment programs for patients with persistent or serious mental illness • Determine clinical need for medications and prescribe medications as part of treatment programs • Act as the clinical psychiatry expert and provide information, consultation, and assistance to other healthcare professionals • Coordinate care with private physicians in the community as needed • Refer patients to other health professionals when further diagnosis and evaluation are required • Document appropriately in the EHR in accordance with clinic policy • Work with telemedicine for patients in Portland and Florence as needed • Conduct new patient visits of 60 minutes, return patient visits of 30 minutes, and urgent medication management appointments of 15 minutes

🎯 Requirements

• State of Oregon license active • Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university • Completion of a Nurse Practitioner program specific to the expanded specialty of Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) • DEA active without restriction • National Provider Identifier (NPI)
