📋 Description

• Provide scientific and medical direction and recommendations • Incorporate clinical, medical, and scientific relevance into clients' brands' strategies and tactical executions • Develop deep understanding of clients' products, mechanisms, clinical data, competitive differentiators, treated conditions, disease mechanisms, epidemiology, standards of care, and prescriber details • Derive actionable insights with senior Medical staff • Collaborate with senior Medical staff, client service, strategic services, and creative staff • Train junior agency staff on product mechanisms • Interact with clients and interview external professionals • Maintain expert understanding of clients' and competitors' approved Prescribing Information • Monitor disease categories for current publications and labeling updates • Identify actionable scientific and clinical insights for medical strategy • Assist with market research plans and insight-gathering exercises • Brief creative teams and oversee creative deliverables for alignment with medical/clinical insights and strategy • Provide medical and scientific direction for projects, including relevant datasets and copy and visual data recommendations • Review content for medical and scientific accuracy • Provide ongoing training and education for internal staff • Support senior Medical staff in new business opportunities • Contribute to agency thought leadership activities • Report to a Senior Vice President, Medical Strategy

🎯 Requirements

• Advanced degree in life sciences: PhD or MD preferred; PharmD may be considered • 4+ years of experience in a healthcare communications agency, medical education, medical communications company, or pharmaceutical manufacturer • Experience translating scientific or clinical data into presentation formats • Experience presenting scientific or clinical results live to various audience types • Experience interacting with leading researchers and biomedical/pharmaceutical professionals • Authorship in peer-reviewed publications or presentation of abstracts at major scientific/medical conferences preferred • Expert written, verbal communication, and presentation skills • Understanding of biochemical mechanisms, clinical research, and statistical analyses • Familiarity with pharmaceutical marketing and promotional compliance • Ability to work independently and as a team member
