📋 Description

• Conduct policy scans of federal and state legislative activity related to education data, AI, and workforce development • Track relevant rulemakings and high-stakes grant opportunities • Support development of policy briefs, memos, and actionable recommendations • Assist in drafting responses to RFIs, federal consultations, and public comments • Attend and summarize webinars, hearings, and coalition meetings • Analyze proposed laws and regulations concerning ed-tech, data security, and research • Support stakeholder engagement and coalition-building efforts • Collaborate with staff across programs to align policy goals with implementation • Work directly alongside the CEO on 2026/27 policy priorities

🎯 Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an undergraduate or graduate program in public policy, education, political science, or a related field • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills • Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage time effectively • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Gemini for Enterprise, Microsoft Office, Zoom, and Asana • Ability to manage multiple fast-paced workstreams amid ambiguity • Ability to work independently and collaboratively • Prior policy, advocacy, or education organization experience preferred but not required • Highly proactive attitude and genuine willingness to learn
