• Project Planning: The Project Manager leads the development of the commissioning plan, which outlines the scope, schedule, resources, and procedures for commissioning the data center's infrastructure. This involves collaborating with stakeholders, including design engineers, construction teams, and facility operators. • Coordination: Coordinate commissioning activities with various project stakeholders to ensure alignment with project milestones and deadlines. This includes scheduling equipment installations, testing, and integration activities to minimize disruption to the project timeline. • Vendor Management: Liaises with equipment vendors and subcontractors involved in commissioning activities, ensuring that equipment is delivered on time, installed correctly, and tested according to specifications. • System Integration: Oversee the integration of various data center systems, including electrical, mechanical, fire suppression, security, and environmental monitoring systems. This involves testing interoperability, communication protocols, and failover mechanisms to ensure seamless operation. • Testing and Verification: Oversees the execution of functional and performance tests on critical infrastructure components, such as power distribution systems, cooling systems, UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems, generators, and data center management software. They ensure that systems meet design specifications and performance requirements. • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of commissioning activities, including test procedures, test results, equipment specifications, and as-built documentation. This documentation serves as a reference for future maintenance, troubleshooting, and expansion of the data center facility. • Risk Management: Identifies and mitigates risks associated with commissioning activities, such as equipment failures, system vulnerabilities, and operational disruptions. They develop contingency plans and escalation procedures to address unforeseen challenges. • Quality Assurance: Enforce quality standards throughout the commissioning process, ensuring that workmanship meets industry best practices and regulatory requirements. This includes conducting inspections, audits, and reviews to identify and rectify deficiencies. • Client Communication: Provides regular updates to the client or project stakeholders on the progress of commissioning activities, including milestones achieved, issues encountered, and resolution plans. They address client concerns and requests in a timely and professional manner. • Training and Handover: Facilitates training sessions for data center operations staff on the use and maintenance of critical infrastructure systems. Ensure a smooth handover of the facility to the client upon completion of commissioning activities, including documentation turnover and final acceptance procedures.
• Bachelor or similar Master’s degree of Administrator (MBA) - optional • 3-5 years of experience in HV Substations, MV SWGR, LV SWGR, Busway, UPS, Generator, PDU, RPP, others • NFPA 70E • OSHA 10 • Complete all Safety Certifications • Daily Reports • Knowledge of CAD, Bluebeam, and others. • Ability to travel and work on site 75% required.
