• Lead elementary reading initiatives with district and school leaders to drive reading improvements • Build data-informed district- and school-level plans for elementary reading improvement • Strengthen leaders’ instructional and change management skills • Partner with internal and external colleagues for coherent program implementation • Support schools and systems in maintaining strong elementary reading systems and high-quality Tier 1 literacy instruction • Lead school and system reviews, identify strengths and growth areas, and design multi-year improvement plans and short-term action steps • Track action-plan progress and adjust strategies as needs evolve • Serve as the primary partner contact and connect stakeholders with resources, research, and information • Build relationships and provide high-stakes coaching to school and system leaders • Conduct structured school walkthroughs to assess classroom instruction and track progress • Customize literacy program materials for district and school contexts • Manage partner contracts and deliverables • Evaluate and provide strategic input on design resources, frameworks, and learning experiences • Support implementation of the initiative’s research and evaluation study • Contribute to internal learning meetings and improve program implementation over time • Travel nationally up to 60%
• 8+ years of experience in educational leadership, literacy instruction, or a related field • Experience with system-level or school leadership • Spanish proficiency highly preferred • Deep knowledge of early reading and language development • Knowledge of Tier 1 high-quality instructional materials • Knowledge of evidence-based strategies for multilingual learners and students with disabilities • Proficiency analyzing student work and disaggregated school-level data • Advanced understanding of school leadership levers, educational structures, and change management • Proven ability to build rapport and trust with diverse school and system leaders • Ability to provide high-stakes coaching • Ability to apply educational research and analyze prototyped tools • Legal authorization to work in the United States • Willingness to travel nationally up to 60%
