📋 Description

• Provide direct support to assigned public entity clients • Exercise independent judgment and personal discretion on general liability claims, claims management, and claims resolution/settlement • Investigate, analyze, and determine the insurance provider's liability for personal, casualty, or property loss or damages • Recommend claims actions and set or adjust reserves according to guidelines and authority levels • Communicate with claimants, clients, and attorneys throughout the claims process • Correspond with and interview medical specialists, agents, witnesses, and claimants to compile information • Create and maintain records, diaries, and reports in the claims system and/or client's system • Calculate benefit payments, negotiate claim resolutions, and approve payments within monetary limits • Collaborate with counsel on litigation preparation, assemble evidence for contested claims, and keep clients advised of litigation status

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred • At least three (3) years of experience with insurance claims, self insurance, pooled insurance • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to speak and write fluently in Spanish is required
