• Lead and oversee a ministry team to plant and grow witnessing communities of students and faculty on college and university campuses • Model spiritual maturity through Scripture, prayer, worship, self-leadership, and adherence to Scriptural standards • Inspire, coach, and develop campus staff ministers, students, faculty, and ministry partners • Create vision and establish witnessing communities across campuses • Set annual goals with ministry teams through prayer, research, and reflection • Develop, align, and leverage programs and structures to advance ministry goals • Recruit, spiritually develop, and professionally develop diverse minister candidates • Supervise ministers through coaching, assessment, correction, and affirmation • Build effective and diverse minister teams and healthy cross-cultural relationships • Participate in regional leadership and collaborate with local, area, divisional, regional, and national ministers and volunteers • Establish systems and processes for reporting, finances, human resources, and other administrative tasks • Manage budgets, control expenses, and maintain the area’s financial status • Develop and maintain financially, prayerfully, and operationally supportive ministry partnerships • Supervise ministers’ ministry partnership development and equip staff to build ministry partners • Build resource networks with alumni, volunteers, churches, advocacy councils, and major donors • Grow student and staff work throughout Georgia • Care for current field and volunteer staff • Manage existing partnerships and establish new partnerships • Develop a staff recruitment strategy and provide staff with vision and direction for growth • Develop strategies for reaching unreached campuses • Strengthen partnerships with HBCUs, HSIs, and Asian American communities • Build a communal funding model supporting the financial health of all staff • Travel to campuses, ministry conferences, MPD meetings, training sessions, meetings, and conferences
• Bachelor’s degree required • Minimum three years campus ministry or equivalent work experience required • Annually affirm InterVarsity’s Statement of Agreement (Doctrinal Basis and Purpose Statement) • Abide by InterVarsity’s Code of Conduct • Strong ministry skills, including communicating spiritual vision, teaching spiritual and biblical principles, planning ministry programs, and spiritually discipling, coaching, and mentoring • Proven ability to work well with others and develop a team of campus ministers • Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to minister to diverse ethnic communities and faculty • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Demonstrated problem solving skills • Familiarity with word processing, presentation, email, and spreadsheet software • Ability to travel to on-campus and off-campus sites as appropriate • Ability to secure a donor team to fund the cost of the salary
