📋 Description

• Provide real-time documentation support to healthcare providers before and after patient encounters • Evaluate chart review performance and provide analysis to help physicians and staff improve coding and documentation best practices • Assist with practice support of the chart review process and education • Identify improvement areas to plan provider education and create action plans addressing practice deficiencies • Prepare chart note examples, provider documentation trends, educational materials, and coding guidelines for practices and follow-ups • Provide coding education to physicians, advanced practitioners, and staff as needed • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and county laws and regulations related to risk adjustment coding and documentation • Promote transparency and collaborate with project team members for effective coordination • Assist the risk adjustment manager with data collection and reporting for the accurate chart review coding program • Collaborate with the risk adjustment team on education and improvement plans while adhering to corporate compliance programs and regulatory requirements

🎯 Requirements

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) • Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC) preferred • Bachelor’s degree in related field of study preferred • 3+ years of experience with Risk Adjustment HCC coding or abstraction • 2+ years of ICD-10 coding and chart review auditing • Comprehensive understanding of HCC coding rules and regulations • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint • Proficiency with Excel functions to develop data trends, including pivot tables and graphs
