📋 Description

• Converse with AI models about laboratory workflows and theoretical synthetic biology questions • Verify model responses for factual accuracy and logical soundness • Capture reproducible error traces and document failure modes • Suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics • Challenge advanced language models across synthetic biology topics to help harden model reasoning

🎯 Requirements

• Expertise in synthetic biology, genetic circuit design, metabolic engineering, genome editing (CRISPR/Cas systems), systems biology, biomanufacturing, and computational modeling • Ability to challenge advanced language models on gene synthesis, chassis organism optimization, promoter and ribosome binding site tuning, pathway assembly, biosafety and ethical considerations, and emerging technologies • Ability to converse on laboratory workflows and theoretical synthetic biology questions • Ability to verify factual accuracy and logical soundness • Ability to capture reproducible error traces and suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics • PhD in synthetic biology, molecular biology, bioengineering, or a closely related life-science field is ideal • Peer-reviewed publications, hands-on experience with synthetic biology techniques, or experience in industrial or academic bioengineering labs signal fit • Clear, metacognitive communication and ability to “show your work” • Secure computer and high-speed internet as a contractor
