• Orienting students to their courses and communicating course and school requirements • Support homeroom students with general school information, schedule set-up, monitor student attendance and progress throughout the program • Provide small group and direct instruction to students of course content • Participate in instructional coaching and develop instruction to address coaching goals • Augment course content in the form of remediation, modification, and enrichment • Implement student’s IEP’s and attend IEP conferences as needed • Set deadlines for student work and grant extensions as deemed appropriate • Face to Face meetings with students and teaching adult as scheduled • Grade student work and enter grades into an online grade book in a timely manner • Ensure all communication with families is documented according to school policies • Meet with designated administrator to discuss student data and set goals and actions for remediation • Follow all school policies • Participate in State Testing- this includes but is not limited to: Proctoring throughout testing window and all other state mandated and school required assessments • Assigning students to test sites • Following up with students who have not tested and make arrangements for makeup testing • Assisting site coordinator • Following up with student, parent and/or administrator if there are issues • Organizing testing materials • Contribute to and complete student progress and report cards • Hold Parent Teacher Conferences/ Check In Calls with homeroom families quarterly • Communicate with parents as needed • Collaborate with other instructional teachers and support team • Communicate with teachers, support staff, and Administration as needed • Participation in planning and delivery of Parent Orientations
• Permanent California Residence (within 1 of the 10 counties we hire in) • Valid/current Preliminary/Clear/Life California Single Subject Teaching Credential in Physical Education • California English Learner Authorization- Issued by CTC • Bachelor's degree • Strong content and subject-matter knowledge • Ability to support and guide adults, as well as students • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Organization and time-management skills • Excellent writing and grammar skills • Flexible schedule • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and Outlook, PowerPoint and experience using them in a professional capacity
