📋 Description

• Install mechanical and electrical commercial food equipment and assist with advanced installations • Maintain, diagnose, and repair basic mechanical commercial food equipment for contract and time-and-material customers • Interpret and follow schematic diagrams • Demonstrate knowledge of equipment sequence of operations across multiple operating modes • Complete and document preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical commercial food equipment • Implement and support Hobart Service safety procedures and programs • Support branch and organizational financial objectives by providing quality customer experiences • Maintain current knowledge of the organization, industry, and equipment • Manage assigned company assets, including vehicle, tools, and inventory • Follow safe-driving and other applicable company policies • Provide on-site support to Hobart Service customers • Work on-call, after-hours, holidays, and weekends as needed • Compile and summarize data for supervisors or branch managers to support customer-focused strategies and sales leads • Perform vehicle and equipment safety inspections and report defects • Complete required safety training • Prioritize workloads and concurrent projects, communicate with internal and external individuals, resolve crises and conflicts, and adjust priorities quickly

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and 2–4 years of electrical and mechanical experience, or high school diploma or GED and 0–2 years of HVACR service experience with an EPA certification, or a vocational certificate in HVACR • Mechanical and electrical aptitude with troubleshooting experience • Ability to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial food equipment • Ability to interpret schematic diagrams, mechanical diagrams, and service manuals • Knowledge of sequence of operations for multiple operating modes • Skilled in using basic hand tools, gauges, meters, and other equipment • Basic math skills, including percentages and measurement conversions • Basic or working knowledge of Windows applications and Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel • Ability to read and understand business safety guidelines • Ability to communicate orally with individuals inside and outside the organization • Crisis and conflict resolution skills • Ability to self-motivate and take direction from senior technicians and management • Ability to multitask and adjust priorities quickly • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs • Ability to climb up to 10 ft with an A-frame ladder and occasionally access roofs using ladders greater than 20 ft • Ability to walk 3–5 miles per day and drive 5–6 hours per day • Ability to kneel, squat, bend, push/pull, and work in tight or confined spaces • Ability to operate motor vehicles, heavy equipment, machinery, and power tools • Flexibility to work normal, extended, evening, early morning, night, weekend, holiday, and on-call hours • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time • Industry certification is highly desirable • Associate’s degree or vocational certificate preferred • Commercial cooking and/or refrigeration equipment experience preferred
