📋 Description

• Conduct a full technical audit of jackwestin.com covering crawlability, indexation, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, page speed, mobile performance, structured data, and canonical tag issues • Own the off-page SEO strategy, including backlink profile analysis, link acquisition strategy, digital PR outreach, and domain authority building • Build and execute a structured data (schema) implementation plan for courses, articles, FAQs, reviews, and how-to pages • Manage and grow the site backlink profile using Ahrefs, including identifying link gaps, disavowing toxic links, and building a sustainable acquisition pipeline • Monitor Search Console for crawl errors, coverage issues, manual actions, and Core Web Vitals regressions, and act on findings • Set technical SEO requirements for new pages, site updates, and CMS changes, working with the development team before launch • Report on keyword rankings and organic traffic trends with clear recommendations for non-SEO stakeholders • Stay current on algorithm updates and assess their effect on a content-heavy education site • Research and apply approaches for appearing in AI-powered search results including Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and Perplexity

🎯 Requirements

• 5 or more years in technical SEO • Strong record on off-page strategy, including backlink campaigns and link profiles that produced real ranking improvements • Deep working knowledge of Ahrefs for backlink analysis, competitor gap analysis, keyword tracking, and site audits • Strong command of Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, and Core Web Vitals tooling • Direct, hands-on experience implementing schema markup • Ability to brief a WordPress developer clearly and precisely on technical fixes without writing the code • Ability to turn data into a prioritized action plan and communicate it clearly to non-SEO specialists • Ability to work independently, deliver against defined milestones, and flag issues before they become blockers • Experience in education, e-learning, or healthcare is nice to have • Understanding of how large language models index and cite content is nice to have • Experience with programmatic SEO at scale is nice to have • Background in digital PR or editorial link-building campaigns is nice to have
