📋 Description

• Perform facility evaluations as part of a team using architectural and/or engineering standards, practices, and techniques • Mobilize, set up, and orient projects • Conduct visual assessments of buildings, systems, and assets • Determine current condition, remaining useful life, and replacement, repair, or renewal costs • Document physical deficiencies according to immediate-, short-, and long-term cost definitions • Conduct Facility Condition Assessments in conformance with ASTM E2018-24 • Coordinate document review and interviews, walk-through surveys, opinions of cost to remedy deficiencies, and facility condition reports • Evaluate architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing building systems • Gather data and document deficient conditions • Support baseline capital planning, strategic planning, risk assessments, preventative maintenance planning, and asset tagging • Collaborate with clients and project teams on assessments ranging from single facilities to hundreds of facilities

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management (or related field); non-degreed Assessors must have 10+ years of relevant work experience • 10+ years of related experience performing assessments in conformance with ASTM E2018-24 • Proficiency in engineering and architectural design standards, practices, and techniques • Working knowledge of commercial construction codes and their application to existing facilities • Project definition, planning and management experience • Strong written and oral communication skills • Ability to walk for long periods (6 to 8 hours/day) • Ability to climb ladders, kneel, crouch, or crawl to access difficult spaces • Ability to carry up to 50 lbs occasionally • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite • U.S. Citizenship required • May be subject to a federal background investigation and drug screening • Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance • Travel generally not exceeding 75%, with some projects requiring 100% travel • Valid REAL ID driver's license with no significant MVA points or violations • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship • No visa sponsorship provided
