• Evaluate emergency room visit documentation for accurate and complete charge capture • Assess documentation for gaps in clinical information • Query providers when necessary • Investigate and assess payment discrepancies • Identify and implement actions to ensure appropriate outcomes • Conduct and coordinate third-party audits • Advise and inform management on reimbursement issues
• High School Diploma/GED - Required • 4 years Emergency Room coding/charging, Revenue Cycle, billing experience - Required • 4 years Emergency Room clinical experience - Required • No experience required if candidate holds an active RHIT, RHIA, or CCS • Associate's Degree Allied Health Profession - Preferred • CCS, RHIT, or RHIA credentials/candidate status as specified • CCS upon hire preferred • RHIT credential obtained within 1 year of hire preferred • RHIA credential obtained within 1 year of hire preferred • Monday–Friday day-shift availability • Ability to travel never or rarely
