⢠Plan, coordinate, and oversee Provider Credentialing Program procedures and processes in compliance with regulatory requirements ⢠Conduct background investigations for physicians and other providers, including licensure, education, clinical training, board certification, disciplinary actions, malpractice history, and peer assessment ⢠Review and analyze physician applications and credentialing documents ⢠Assess completeness of information and provider qualifications against established standards ⢠Review and analyze primary-source verification for licensure, certification, or registration ⢠Request, maintain, and ensure competency data at appointment and reappointment ⢠Track drug screenings, background checks, child abuse clearances, fingerprinting, codes of conduct, policies, clinical competency data, and Health Service information ⢠Report adverse applicant information to the manager and conduct follow-up investigations ⢠Prepare, screen, mail, track, and respond to letters ⢠Contact external sources to obtain information for credentialing investigations ⢠Organize, maintain, audit, and confidentially manage physician files ⢠Prepare files for Credentials Committee review and follow up on committee decisions ⢠Maintain communication with physicians, office staff, and practice administrators ⢠Assist with special projects, including physician education, JCAHO and Department of Health preparation, clinical competency data, and life supports ⢠Maintain knowledge of JCAHO, Department of Health, Medical Staff bylaws, rules, regulations, and other regulatory standards ⢠Maintain provider databases and extract information for reports, surveys, and provider directories ⢠Adapt software to support efficient credentialing operations and continuous quality improvement
⢠High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required ⢠Minimum of 4 years of related work experience required ⢠Communication ⢠Computer literacy ⢠Credentialing ⢠Professional presentation ⢠Ability to work independently ⢠Knowledge of applicable regulatory agencies and credentialing requirements ⢠Knowledge of JCAHO, Department of Health, Medical Staff bylaws, rules, and regulations ⢠The posting does not qualify for a J-1 waiver
